Deposit/Cancellation Policy

I understand that unexpected events happen occasionally. Unfortunately, due to an extremely high numneber of no-shows/no-calls I find it necessary to start charging first time clients a deposit of 50% of the session price. This deposit will be applied to the cost of the session. It is my desire to be effective and fair to all clients and have enacted the following policies:

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. I keep limited hours and it is often difficult to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged for the full amount of the appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. So long as 24 hours notice is given there is no charge. If you have purchased a package and fail to provide 24 hours notice one session will be deducted from the package. If you cancel within the cancellation period and do not wish to re-schedule I will return your deposit via the same method of payment.

No shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to miss their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no show”. They will be charged for their missed appointment.

Late arrivals: if you arrive late for your session it may be shortened in order to accommodate others who have appointments following yours. I do not typically schedule back to back appointments, but sometimes it happens. Regardless of the length of the massage you will be responsible for the full cost of the session.

Scheduling

Services are scheduled by appointment only. I will only accept same day appointments from established clients. I reserve the right to refuse services to anyone.

UPDATE: Repeated re-scheduling and/or cancellation of appointments may result in your inability to schedule on-line.

Appropriate Behavior

I am a professional massage therapist, licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As such I am governed by a specific set of ethics which cover appropriate behavior during the massage session. I will abide by these ethics and expect you to do the same.

Sickness

In an effort to maintain a healthy environment, and a healthy therapist, I ask that if you are sick, including any of the following or have the onset of symptoms you reschedule your appointment. If you do arrive with symptoms of an illness you will be asked to reschedule.

  • Fever

  • Cold

  • Vomiting

  • Chicken Pox

  • Measles

  • Mumps

  • Meningitis

  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

  • Head Lice

  • Bed Bugs

  • Scabies

  • Impetigo

  • Influenza (flu)

  • Ringworm
